Finally went and got a betta after cycling a tank, and the store clerk sold me on some living black bloodworms (what she called them) to go with the pellet food I got.

I already know that they are sparingly given treats, but how many do I give and can I toss them in still alive? This fish has already either terrorized my baby ramshorn snail population into hiding or helped himself to a snack, so I dont think he'll have a problem with live snacks.

Pic Tax included cause he's so pretty 😍

  1. Oh, live blackworms are AMAZING, I intentionally introduce them to all of my tanks. My advice: turn the lights off and put your betta back in his cup for an hour or so, and put them all in. They’ll dig into the substrate, and you’ll have an ever replenishing supply of live food.

Hi I feed frozen blood worms and shrimp to mine but I don’t know how to do live.
