Ok how did I do? I cycled my 5 gallon tank for a month, and now I have a betta, 3 ghost shrimp, and one snail. Theres a solid lid on it now, but I plan on eventually getting a glass top and better grow light for the plants! There's also a bit of i guess, dust settled on everything? Is this something I should worry about?
I got my water tested at my local pet store, so thats what the paper is.
Give me tips and pointers as a first time betta mom trying her best. The people were ruthless in the Betta facebook group I just posted this in 🥲

Sounds like you’ve taken the time to learn what you’re doing! All I’d recommend is more hiding and play spots for the betta, but to be honest your plants will grow in and fill that space quite nicely if you’re patient.
How new are the plants? Have you experienced or do you expect melt, and are you familiar with how to deal with it?
Do you have fertilizers for your plants, root tab or liquid (and do you know how to tell which to use)?
This looks great for a first time tank or a beginner tank you jave live plants, heater, filter, thermometer. If you want more stuff you could look into floating betta logs or betta rests for the side and top of the tank as bettas like to rest near the surface.
Also a lot of people reccomend plakat bettas in 10 gallons because they typically zoom around more and arwnt weighed down by longer fins so if you notice stress signs like glass surfing you may consider an upgrade but for now 10/10
Also, these are all the things i have for the tank!
