Although this picture does look a tad aggressive he isn’t stuck on the intake or anything like that. He does this a few times a day. Could it be that he likes resting there?

It’s difficult to tell from this picture, but he looks like he might be bloated… if so, try lessening the amount of food or skipping a day or so. But that’s only if he’s actually bloated, again, I can’t tell for sure.
Agree with the other commenter that he’s bloated. But otherwise, one of my bettas is obsessed with sleeping behind the filter. It freaked me out the first time because I thought he was stuck, but he wasn’t. He has tons of hiding spots in his tank, I guess he just likes cramming himself into small spaces. 🤷🏻♀️
