Whippy ultralight is fun for creek fishing which will include bass, but I wouldn’t say its a good bass rod. Realistically all it will do well is bait rigs, small jigheads, and little crankbaits. I have a pretty similar setup and enjoy it immensely because big fish will still hit small baits but you’ll also catch a ton of panfish

It’s a fun setup. You can catch the occasional monster, but I wouldn’t make a habit of it on that setup.
