He moved tanks about two weeks ago and seems to be settling in mostly fine, but he has been doing this sometimes (maybe like 10% of the time) when I feed him. I don't know if this could be from the stress of moving because since I am living away at college, he had been in the care of my parents (who I gave very explicit instructions to, but who don't know what unusual behavior looked like) for about two months.
I almost think it could be that I startled him because it seems to happen most when I get into the room and immediately feed him (I live in a college dorm and am out for a good chunk of the day so I feed him immediately upon getting back). I thought it could be excitement but it seems almost violent and I get especially worried that he'll hurt himself because (as shown) when he realizes there's food on the gravel, he slams into it headfirst. And when he does it and tried to get the falling food he usually misses, which is another thing that worries me.
He has also started doing what I think is glass surfing, he spends a good deal of time at the bottom of the tank, and sometimes he "attacks" the water surface for air- all of which he hadn't done before he moved here.
I added tannins and have been getting more plants in case it's stress from lack of cover since his other tank is very overgrown.
I am really worried.

It looks like he’s chasing little floaties in the water that he’s perceiving as possible food. My girl does that too if there are ever little floaties around. She’s so aggressive that she’ll chase anything she thinks his potential food lol. If you’re still really worried in a few days, just monitor how he’s swimming and if he seems to be swimming on his side or upside down a lot then I would be concerned, but if he’s just having zoomies I wouldn’t worry. He’s having fun!
