You have to get rid of this gravel. It’s not only toxic, but there’s way too much of it. Your plants won’t be happy either.

Outside of the gravel, it looks fantastic. Maybe could use a couple other hiding spots for him

What an improvement! Kudos to you for trying to give your betta a better home👍😁 we have betta twinsies too! You can never have enough plants, and bettas love floating plants. My betta also loves to weave between plants and peak through the floating log. Keep up the great work!
More hiding spots (in the form of plants) will work. Most plants won’t grow in gravel though. You should try splitting up the salvinia so it can grow easy.

Get some floating plants and look into other plants you could get, there are some greadt resources in this group if you go through the links, more plants is always better 😄 I think an anubias could look really nice and some limnophila in the background? You might get in trouble with the gravel because its very bright so any algae growth could make it look pretty ugly. If its ever an issue for you later on look into getting a few amanos or a nerite snail.
