Why does my betta have such a hard time in eating pellet floating on the water surface? Most of the time I have to tap on the pellet to make it sink then he will be able to eat it, it makes no sense to me why he is so dumb 🥲🥲🥲.

I had one like that, and it seemed like it was because his mouth was too small or something. I ended up getting him baby Betta pellets (Hikari) and that fixed him. Maybe he just preferred the littler bite-sized portions, idk.

It’s true.. my betta is an idiot too! At least yours eats the sinking pellet… Mine misses those too😭🙏🏻

  3. My betta gets excited when i come to feed him that he would jump out of the water like a fucking dolphin. One time the idiot jumps out of the aquarium onto the floor. Doesnt jump any other time, only when feeding

  4. I kept mine in a bare bottom tank (with lots of plants) for a year and a half. He is now on substrate. Takes a long time, using my finger to try to guide him to his food. Bless his heart.

  5. His fins are extra long and he is struggling to maneuver with them. Just help him by sinking the pellets.

  6. He’s very beautiful. Have you tried the frozen fresh fish food? One square is more than enough for a fish. I cut mine into fourths when I was just feeding one fish and would store the extra in tiny clear plastic pill bags in the freezer. Or you can put the 1 frozen cube in a small container, let it melt, use a pipet to give some to your fish, and keep it in the fridge.

I have a 30gal bioactive community tank now with three Betta sisters to help with snail, guppy, and shrimp population control. Everyone still gets a fresh frozen cube each day.

    I hope this helps
