Hi Friends. A couple of weeks ago I bought a pathetic looking fish at PetCo that said Female Dumbo Ear on the cup. Honestly wasn’t sure she would survive, when she was all better I tried to introduce her into my sorority tank, but she was really aggressive(borderline hostile) and my sorority isn’t about that life. So shes in her own (temporary) tank. Yesterday I noticed that she built a huge bubble nest, and I’m thinking that “She” might be a “He”. I took some photos, but I might be overthinking it and can’t make up my mind. What do u guys think?

Looks male to me. Females CAN help with bubble nests, but if it’s a decent size that’s a good giveaway.
She is definitely a he, I’m not sure if you’re experienced enough to keep a peaceful sorority if you can’t sex this obvious male- his fins are huge and he has a visible beard.

And whoever put “male” on the cup, clearly don’t know about betta fish lol
