Otherwise he seems healthy to me and hes very active
I am also experiencing this with a plakat betta I got forever ago. He has a HUGE mass on his side and I’ve assumed it’s a tumor. He still does normal fish things so I’ve just let it be. From what I’ve found, there’s not really a cure. If it keeps him from being a fish, then I suggest a humane way to euthanize:(
1. More plants please yes. He needs much more hiding spots.
2. They are tumors common with pet store bettas. If it’s not inhabiting his QOL he is ok. I had a betta who had one tumor on his side. If it starts effecting his QOL you can look into putting him down (people use blunt force or the clove method at least the last time I researched if)
