Betta Fish: Day One for New Aquarium!

I finally got back into keeping fish after years of not owning any. Bought a TopFin 10-Gallon Aquarium, cleaned it then filled the bottom with Fluval Plant Stratum then topped it with Aqua Natural Black Sand.

The plants that I added were Golden Nana, Cuba Ludwigia, Dwarf Sagittaria, and a type of floater plant (I forgot the name 🙁). Proceeded to fill the tank with water and topped off with Seachem “Stability” and “Prime”.

I also added drift wood that I had previously used in a reptile terrarium but I did boil for 30 minutes prior to placing inside the aquarium.

I’m now waiting for the drift wood to settle and the water to clear up. The only issue I’m currently having is that my drift wood is floating. Tips and comments would be appreciated!🩵
