I got my rose petal betta about a month ago and he had been thriving, but i noticed his fins are changing to white. I couldnt get a great picture but they look pearlescent still. First picture is before, second is now. He acts totally normal and looks perfectly fine besides that. I did also notice the tips are curling a bit but definitely doesnt seem to be fin rot, just curling. maybe hard water?? anyways i just get worried so i want to make sure hes okay. I did notice besides turning white, his darker colors have been getting more colorful

  1. it wont let me edit it for some reason but heres some info on his tank: 10 gallon, 78 degrees, has a sponge filter, tank mates are 3 white clouds, otocinclus, and ghost shrimp. (he does not seem to have a problem with them, they dont bug him either) plants i have are java fern, long tail water fern, banana plant and dwarf hair grass

Most Bettas that are light turn dark when in a good environment. However sometimes the opposite happens which is what I think is happening for your son.

    Congrats 🎉
