Betta Fish: New betta, boy…? 🤔

This little beauty… Sold in the cup at Petco as a standard female betta. I've never seen this silvery blue/lavender coloring on any betta before. Also when I got it into it's new tank, it flared a lot like a male, so I'm not so sure it's a female. I also cannot visualize an egg spot and the body shape seems not as plump as the females I've had in the past. It's definitely spicy, healthy, and active fish though, and it's settling into it's new home quite well, exploring all the spots.
