I noticed he was a little swollen beginning of last week. Because of this I’ve been feeding him less (2-4pellets a day max with a fast day in between. His usual being 6 pellets with a fast once a week). I decided to fast him over the weekend and today. When I checked in today he appears even larger. I’m not 100% sure what’s going on because based on my research here it can either mean he’s munching on the shrimp… or this is the start of dropsy. I don’t notice any pineconing happening so I’m not really sure. I’m also worried about a fast growing tumor… please help

This may be a tumor, and im really sorry if it is. Im not an expert but my betta had this issue to a smaller extent and passed within a day of it suddenly appearing. I dont think he would get this chubby from eating, but again im not an expert. I feed my betta 3-5 pebbles a day and he doesnt have this. Is he also struggling to surface or lingering at the bottom?
Definitely not a matter of too much food. Something serious is going on inside. I would contact a vet if possible, look at your current food, or think about a treatment as a last ditch effort
Tbh it looks like dropsy but that’s just my guess, regardless…pallets expand in their stomach so soak them before hand to prevent bloating
