Hi there. Just wanted to show my son's betta tank and see everyone's thoughts, on placement, plants, etc.
also want to note I think I've been finding snail eggs?? What should I do about it?
Tank info:
3gl.
Sponge bubbler filter.
Pothos cuttings
Anubis
Java Ferns (kinda brown, idk why, came like that)
Java Moss
floating frogbit.
Heater in place, all water parameters are pretty much perfect, slightly hard water due to a water change lately
Includes 2 nitrate snails and 1 ram horn.
Concidering shrimp, undecided.
some photos were taken before, during and after water changes and cycling process

It would be a really cool tank for shrimp. As is, it’s already too small for a betta, they need a minimum of 5 gallons and preferably 10 for ease of maintenance and wiggle room for any ammonia spikes or anything, but then you’ve got that giant ass house, which IS really cool, BUT it’s blocking the vast majority of his swimming room (that I will reiterate is already too small, because that’s very important). Having a filter and a heater is good though, and the live plants are great. If you don’t want snail eggs you can just crush them.
