Thank you to everyone who shares knowledge and is understanding to all those who wish to unlearn all of the harmful information about betta fish! Younger I sadly killed about three bettas over the span of just a few years. It broke my heart and made me swear off getting fish again. I didn't want to purchase them just for them to die. But I always wanted an aquarium and especially a betta. I love them so much. All of the personality and uniqueness is something I just never saw with other fish. So as an adult I wanted to try again and try again correctly. This reddit has been a such a great source of information and I really appreciate all of those who share their experience!
I'm still learning, especially in the plant department, but this is the first time I actually felt like I have somewhat succeeded at getting an appropriate aquarium.
We got the oldest chilliest betta we could find and Jerry now seems to be more active than ever! He loves exploring the plants, chasing the harlequins, and stealing the food from the cory's, and as you can see here, begging for food whenever we get close. He runs this tank and he 100% knows it 😂. Fingers crossed I can keep doing right by him 🤞
Thank you all again!
