I would recommend a larger one. Also bettas like tropical waters so he would be more comfy with a heater as well as a filter, some plants maybe if you have some more money to spare, live ones so he doesn’t rip his fins accidentally I have seen that happen to a lot of people unfortunately

Yes, you want 20 liters / 5 gallons with heater, filter, lid and hides – e.g. driftwood with java moss tied to it, and anubias tied to suction cups
