Betta Fish: Concerned about bump? + general behavior

So I’ve been concerned about this boy for a little bit, he’s young and not fully grown yet but I’ve had him for maybe 2 months. Since I got him he’s had this swimming pattern that he does nearly all day where he swims in a triangle against the front glass. At first I chalked it up to stress of the new environment, then I thought maybe it was him wanting food or being excited to see me, now I’m wondering if it’s stress? I really value making a good environment for my fish, I have a 10g all natural decor, a sponge filter that’s I think 20g-35g power, I do weekly water changes and test the water in case that’s what was stressing him but when I do the tests the parameters are fine. He continues to swim in the pattern even when the lights are off, but he doesn’t do it at night. He’s also got a bump in concerned about on his right gill flap, and when he flares he only flares one side of his beard. A bunch of things I’m worried about with this guy.
