Nothing wrong with silk plants but it’d be nice for you to incorporate some live ones as well. I’d say try some anubias first to see how you like it. They’re super easy.

Yes. That is beautiful. Live are always best for your fish however it can be quite expensive getting it down right. If I told you how much money we’ve spent trying to get it right…. I would have given up if i wasn’t fortunate to be able to continue to learn and make mistakes and learn and continue until I have somewhat finally got it right. And I say somewhat safely. I didn’t do enough research and I still don’t have it to the point where all my takes are making it. Im down to 4 tanks. Doing exactly the same thing in all and now one is failing again. The one that was thriving the most

Like I always say, live plans aren’t for everyone. Don’t listen to the people who tell you you have to get them. If you don’t like or can’t do them, silk is perfect. I do a mix of silk and anubias (live, low light, low maintenance) and i love it. The silk plants also give you those pops of color which i love.
