Got her yesterday — gave her a salt bath since she was kept with around 15–20 other bettas, then acclimated her. Ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels are all at 0. Gh- 10, kh 2. I turned off the bubbler just in case, though I doubt that’s the issue.

Glass surfing is fairly common for fish to do in new tanks! It’s a way of exploring new boundaries. If she keeps up this behavior for more than a week though, maybe look into other things in the tank that may be creating stress.

Seems normal to me. I just brought a little girl home last night and she’s been zipping around checking everything out. I have my sponge filter up kinda high right now but have some calm resting areas for her and she seems happy.

I’m not new to bettas but definitely new to female ones and so far they just seem be way more fiesty than any males I have or had.
From my experience their fins are a good indicator, if they’re clamped somethings not right for them.

Seems like normal behavior in a need environment. On an unrelated note, I would recommend removing the cholla wood. I’ve heard many horror stories of bettas getting stuck in cholla wood.
