Hello everyone, I’ve been lurking the forum for a month or two now since I got my first ever betta fish. It’s helped me quite a lot with decorating and taking care of him. I thought I’d finally join and introduce you to my boy.
This is Carter, he’s a twintail half moon. Over the course of the month I’ve had him, I’ve been trying my best to keep his parameters and tank in check. He’s got some snail friends, bladder snails and an assassin snail. He loves his hammock and I may have “trained” him to go in there for feeding time unintentionally.
I’ve switched to some pellets with probiotic formula, and I had just finished a round of treatment over a worrying patch on his chin. Doesn’t seem to bother him but I wanted to treat it to be safe. His tank was tested the other day and everything seems to be fine there. I’ve been keeping him in a five gallon that he gets all to himself (other than the assassin and her food).
The last photo is the look of his tank currently. I’ve added mopani wood in there a few weeks ago. Originally it wasn’t doing much in the corner of the tank so when I redecorated, I moved it to the center where it seems to have worked quite well. I do think it’s pretty red so if anyone has some tips to lessen that, that would be greatly appreciated.
