So I just setup this no filter planted tank for my betta. It's a 5 gallon. I want to buy a tank mate for him. I was thinking to buy a goby (bumblebee goby or blue goby) as they tend to stay small. I was also thinking of adding those colorful shrimps that are barely 0.5 inches but I'm not sure if my Betta is compatible with them. Also consider the fact that I want to make my tank a no filter one so the tank mates should be accordingly chosen and the max I can do is add an airstone but that to, I am not willing to do as the tank would just look dull.

Very nice setup! I would suggest some oto catfish
I wouldnt do a bumblebee goby. Theyre brackish and even if they can survive is fresh they wont thrive or last as long as they could. Shrimp is always a good go to
