First (and maybe only) steelhead of the season. Going back to school is great and all but I miss fishing every day and not maybe one day a month. Tight lines everybody, get out there for me!

That’s not a steely, looks a lot more like an Atlantic salmon to me. Nice catch nonetheless.

Definitely not a steelhead, but a nice fish regardless, and I’m sure it was just as fun to catch. One day a month is still more often than most people can fish but I feel your pain. I was fishing 5-6 times a week for 2 months straight and not ready to slow down yet when I badly bruised my ribs about 5 weeks ago and haven’t been healthy enough to fish since. I’m getting close, and definitely feeling the itch but trying to be good for another couple of weeks to make sure I’m not going to re-injure myself. It’s times like these that teach us to really appreciate what time we do have on the water.
