I’m just wondering if this betta behaviour is normal, i’ve put a picture of the tank, he has many plants, many resting places and much to explore however he only stays near the top, he is rather in the top left or top right. Anything I can do to make him less bored, I have tried drawing he doesn’t show interest, ping pong balls – no interest. He just kinda rests 24/7. He does swim but mostly only at the top, the tank parameters are great. Anything I can do?

I can’t really see super well on the other side of the tank but it might be to crowded for him to swim there as the plants are quite cramped together, he may also see his reflection witheout distractions ?? maybe, or maybe he associates that’s where you feed him ?? But that’s just a theory a fish theory thank you for reading

He’s lovely and so is your tank. Possible he struggles to swim/gets tired fast because of his fins? I’ve heard the ones with huge fins can have trouble swimming because they get weighed down by it. If he seems healthy otherwise that could be it
