i'm just curious about my bettas tail fin. It is jagged edged now, when i got him it was smooth. like the ends. very "D" shaped….. when i google images they all are smooth and uniform as well. Is this a type of fin rot or something?
He seems healthy and he's so active and chipper. healthy eater, grown a lot and changed colors completely from white/opal to this color so i think he's okay?? he is a strong swimmer too.
there's no growths or fungus or anything abnormal about his fins except that they have grown jagged.
i will say when i bought my set up i had pokey hard plastic decor for a couple weeks until i learned i needed silk and silicone so he did get a little fin damage but it healed up but i wonder if this is an effect of this or something.
thoughts?? anything i should do? pic from now and another when i recently had got him

He has fin rot, treat with kanaplex
He has fin rot and looks very thin- how much are you feeding him and how often?
In addition to fin rot I’d like to offer up ammonia poisoning.
