Hey guys I went to a local fish store today and liked the looks of these two pieces of wood and decided to buy them , crazy feeling to buy wood lol . But I have a few different ways of organizing them as I’m second guessing what the shop owner told as healthy fish won’t harm themselves on sharp objects . So I’m hoping you guys could maybe give me some opinions! The last one in my mind is like maxing out the safety of it as the only sharp point is near the filter. I also bought some of the botanical pods but not a ton because I don’t really want to have the black water look . I will be buying a heater soon and I’m currently using an hang on the back quietflow . I’m a little nervous to mess up anything so any tips are appreciated. Also the substrates has been sitting out for about 2 years and I do plan on using live plants soon .

I think the tank looks good! If you’re worried about the betta cutting their fins in the wood I’d just sand down the sharp edges. I don’t know how true the statement is about healthy bettas not harming themselves in sharp objects (my bet is on that it isn’t true).
