Parameters: 78 degrees, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10ppm nitrate, tank has been cycled for eight months.
I am on day six of treating a minor case of Ich (I am using Ich-X) and I am finding 1-2 fish dead per day. As they die, I keep noticing these pale white patches appear on their back. What is this? Can this be caused by Ich?
Rummynose Tetras are known for being very sensitive, and when I purchased them I had quite a few die within a couple days. However, NONE of these initial fish to die developed this odd coloration.

White saddle on back, potentially columnaris? look it up
I should specify that I am not referring to the white dots caused by Ich, but rather the large blotchy patch near the fishes back fin
Columnaris for sure.
Kanaplex – full dose every 2 days for 6-8 days, 20% water change before each dose (if feasible)
That is textbook columnaris unfortunately.
Thanks everybody I will begin treatment for Columnaris
