Admittedly as I type this, I think she may need to go on a diet. My dad took care of her during a move and he had an auto feeder that over fed. She's home now for 4 months, super happy. Comes to see me at the top when I add food or take out plants. But…. is she sick? Or just fat. Even in the above photo I do not think her scales are lifted at all… right?

that is the chunkiest fish i’ve seen yet. definitely put her on a diet.

LOL diet and exercise….engage her when she comes to you and have her swim around for feedings.

i would fast her for a day or two, along with definitely decreasing the amount of food she eats afterwards
Scales are beginning to lift. Over feeding is one of the major causes of dropsy Fast now and maybe some Epsom salt baths to relieve bloat.
Fast her a few days, maybe an Epsom salt bath in there. Definitely a diet, her scales look like they’re screaming, poor baby
she definitely looks like she’s starting to pine cone and you also need to fast her for a few days
