Hi! I Hope it’s ok if I post here – my partner just purchased a drift boat (CO) for him and his parents. I saw a post from 12 years ago about drift boat essentials; however, it’s been a while since they’ve owned a drift boat so I want to get them some essentials for the holidays. Anything you’d recommend is appreciated!

Legally in CO you need one PFD for every passenger aboard – nice ones that don’t restrict mobility aren’t cheap but are worth buying. Also should have a third oar, that’s the thing most likely to break and you’re screwed if you don’t have a spare.
PFDs, a landing net, a beer cooler, and a shuttle ride, not necessarily in that order.
