Male bettas should absolutely not be kept together (they will fight to their death) as for females I’m not sure but from what I know they are solitary animals. Cories are safe to live with bettas unless of course you notice any aggression then remove the Cory or betta
Bettas are not schooling or shoaling fish under any stretch of the imagination whatsoever.
I hope they meant to say tetras or something lol
