My fish is a male Halfmoon King. Got him 6 months ago. He’s been healthy until recently when I noticed what looks like an open red wound on the right bottom side near his pelvic fin. His face is more red than usual. He looks like he’s in pain and his side fins are moving fast than usual. I’m very sad, and I don’t know what it is or what to do.
If anyone’s fish experienced something similar, could you share what you did to treat it? Thank you.

I can’t really see what you’re talking about but if you think it’s an open wound it’s possible that he might’ve cut himself on something sharp in your tank. I’d look for anything sharp like plastic that could’ve cut him. Also, if you’re talking about his pectoral fins moving fast, it’s usually a sign of excitement. My betta is very healthy and does it all the time when he sees me so I wouldn’t worry about that.
