He has red fins so it's difficult to know for sure whether he has fin rot or not, there might be some nipped fins because of some cardinal tetras that I kept but I really wanted to know about whether he has some disease or not?

  1. I don’t think it’s fin rot. Fin rot usually has a brownish/blackish color, and the fins start fraying badly quickly. It looks like it’s been nibbled on and starting to regrow. I would check the water quality just in case because that’s usually the cause of it. Consider getting the betta in its own tank because cardinal tetras are fin nippers. Another thing to look out for is the betta nipping its own fins. When they get stressed out too much, they will start doing it, and it’s hard to get them out of the habit once they start.
