had for about a month? wild caught? if so it has parasites, almost certainly. this does look like an ich-ish ulcer but to be honest there are hundred of possible nasty it could be… if you can scoop him up without too much stress a targeted spot treatment with a BSA, and then treat the system as well. if he’s too skittish just treat the system.
edit: oh man I went info mode and forgot to say, beautiful fish! I think these guys are criminally underrated in the hobby
