I bought my beautiful betta 3 months ago after saving him from a pet store, and he was almost completely blue with some black in his fins. It slowly started turning into a rich deep blue instead of pale, and now is turning red. Is this normal/a good sign?

He has the marbling gene. So did my halfmoon betta Patches.
