Freeloader bladder snails came with a plant purchase. I often find empty shells littering the bottom of the tank. In this photo there are two, but there are a couple more right now that aren't pictured.

I have one king betta, shrimp, and otos as well, which all seem fine. Is the betta likely eating the snails? I don't want them, so don't mind. Just curious if bettas do this because l've never seen him do it.

I don’t believe bettas eat snails. Your snails are probably dying due to their natural life cycle, and your shrimp are probably eating their bodies and leaving the shells.

  2. One of my bettas has eaten many many many pest snails. So much so that the snails cant get even a quarter of the algae before he eats them
