Hey everyone!
I’ve been building a planted-tank friendly tracking app because my notes were scattered across spreadsheets, photos, and random reminders and I’d love to get feedback from people who actually run serious planted setups.
Right now the app lets you:
Log water parameters (pH, GH, KH, NO3, PO4, Fe, etc.)
Track plants, livestock, and equipment
Set fert dosing + maintenance reminders
Record growth progress with photos/journaling
Monitor trends over time (algae issues, nutrient swings, etc.)
Manage multiple tanks and different setups
For those of you running high-tech or even low-tech planted tanks:
– What are the MUST-HAVE things you track regularly?
– Anything obvious I might be missing for planted systems specifically?
– What would actually make you switch from your current method (notebooks, spreadsheets, etc.)?
– Any features you wish tracking apps had but don’t?
If you want to see what I’ve built so far, here’s the app:

Not trying to push anything just genuinely want ideas from people who care about plant health, stability, and dialing in their tanks.
Thanks for any feedback!

Honestly this is so cool! I’m still fairly new to the hobby but I wanted to comment so your post gets boosted 🙂
This seems really neat, do you think you’ll make it available on Android too?
When you say maintenance reminders, do you mean for things like water changes? If so, I’m sold!! This is such a cool idea. I’m pretty new to the hobby too but wanted to help boost the post as I think this could be super helpful for a lot of people. 😀 Wishing you all the best!
