btw my filter is a marina s10 slim
Yeah, but only every so often by swishing/gently squeezing it in tank water after a water change. Don’t ever throw it away or replace it or rinse it with anything other than water that has already been in your tank. Your good bacteria that make up your bacterial filter live in there
No, you don’t wanna clean the sponge on your filter. That’s where the beneficial bacteria grows and by cleaning it you’re actually killing the bacteria. If it gets too dirty you can rinse it in old tank water
