The closer a tank gets to cycled the more a yellowish-green glow appears under actinic blue light, in these photos, the blue lights of my Wills 160w were set to maximum just for the photos

The last two white light shots were of the day I refilled it and today (oct. 24 and Nov 21)

Your setup looks awesome! Could that green-yellow tint actually be the blue light bouncing off the plants?

My tank is well-cycled, packed with plants and tannins, and from day one it always looked like a full-on swamp whenever I turned on the blue lights. That’s why I stick to white lighting now, it makes the water look warm and golden instead of green.

I’ve also noticed that water from a mature, well-cycled tank has this natural greenish-brown tone compared to regular drinking water. I’m guessing it’s just all the microorganisms and dissolved organics doing their thing.
