Hey every one. Sorry about the terrible pictures, best I could do at the moment though. 2 years ago I bought this 145 gallon aquarium on Facebook market place for 75 dollars. I went home and did a leak test and then life happened. Well flash forward to now and I'm finally ready to set it up however I'm unsure if I should reseal it or not. It never leaked and it had water in it long enough for all the water to evaporate out in my garage. (I should have emptied it because now I have to deal with all the hard water as well). As you can see (I hope) it doesn't seem like there is much silicone in the corners. I just filled it with water completely and am doing another test.
Now I do have experience resealing an aquarium but it was only a 29 gallon and It never leaked again. I typically would just do it to be safe but I've never done one this large (insert Michael Scott). It's heavy and I would be doing it my self at night once the family are asleep. So I'm hung up on the fact that so far it hasn't leaked and I'm worried that if I try to reseal it might leak do to a flaw I put in lol. Thanks in advance!

Do you know how old the tank is? If it’s over 10 years, I’d do a proper reseal. A while ago i was gifted a 20 year old, 79G/300L tank. The previous owner guaranteed it didn’t leak. I took it apart anyway and I’m glad i did. Some of the silicone between the panels could be peeled off without effort. It’s the silicone between the panels that holds the glass together. If the silicone is deterioration, you’re sitting on a time bomb. If the rim doesn’t survive the deconstructing, you can replace it by a euro brace. Mine had euro bracing from the start. I put it back for the leak test but eventually took it off again and decided on a paludarium like setup. [In between steps.](https://imgur.com/a/vBZONiZ)
