  1. You will love it. A bit on the smaller side would be my only knock on it, but if you aren’t fishing wide rivers with it you won’t notice that. I’ve got a number of nice single hand rods, but I always find myself fishing my 9 ft 4 wt Pure.

    I’ve had some issues with my Winston Pure where the reel seat takes a while to dry out (if it gets wet) and if I don’t let it air dry for a few days the wood will expand and I can’t get a reel back in. Just something to be aware of – make sure you give that reel seat a good air dry if it gets wet at all.

  2. I just got the 8’6” 4 wt for dry fly fishing in Colorado. Put a Ross Colorado on it and definitely my favorite rod
