I just can't get enough of this place right now. Any chance I get, when the wind slows down enough to make the lake less than lethal, Im heading for good ol Champlain. Water temp is about 47 now, and it's been in the mid to low 20s when I launch, but the action and quality is worth the cold fingers.

With forecasted temps in the low 20s and teens at night, and projected highs in the 30s, it's looking like I'm getting uncomfortably close to the gates of hell… I mean winter. There's no way hell is actually hot. I bet it's super cold and windy.
I digress. What I'm trying to say is that I am exceedingly grateful for days like this.

This time I took my best friend along for the ride.

Yes, I know I didn't have the hat on for one of the pics. I'd just traveled between spots and didn't remember to put it back on before I resumed fishing.
