It is day 3 of having started cycling my new tank, and it’s clear that levels of all 3 have increased. Is this normal?

ALSO:

Ya’ll were so right about the strips being inaccurate. They were showing this tank as “cycled” 5 hours in. The liquid test shows these true results.

  1. You might be very lucky and have inherited some of the faster reproducing AOB and NOB bacteria.

Fastest I’ve seen an aquarium cycle was a little less then two weeks.

    And cycle peaks can overlap.

  2. Yep. Strips are useless. No, something is leaching the NO2 and NO3 into the water. It is likely either in your tap water or in your substrate,

  3. 80 ppl nitrate is alot, the other ones make sense, but no way the bacteria already produced this much, maby your tap water?

you should do a NO3 test on your tapwater to check if that has no3 in it
