Will this work fine, Local tackle shop didn’t have any smaller stinger
Friend gave me my first soft plastic lure cause I usually used hard lures for pike fishing and he didn’t have spare stinger so I bought the smallest one I could find and was wondering if this would work fine

Maybe for a very aggressive fish yes, something more finicky may get scared off. Besides that I don’t see why not
