I work at a pet store and a week ago while cleaning the Betta tanks (we look after our fish unlike that one store in America 👀) and I fell in love with this little guy. all the other Bettas were colourful and desirable but this guy just wasn't getting bought and I grew worried about his health living in an 8 gallon tank.
I've never had a fish before so I've done my best to prepare using my training from work and also info from this subreddit :3 if anyone has any recommendations on how to make life for him better I'm all ears!!!

this is the only photo I have of his tank right now, it’s 5 gallons and I know it’s not the best but I wanted to have it ready as soon as possible. advice is appreciated!!
