She arrived here about a week ago. She was very active and curious despite being shipped overnight across the country, and settled right in once I got her in the tank. Lately, she’s been pacing in the front a lot. I do sometimes catch her in other areas and in the little hiding spots.
I never really see her rest. She has tall plants and a mushroom shelf near the top, but she just never seems to stop swimming, even when the light is dimmed/off.
She’s very responsive to my presence/voice. I just didn’t anticipate her to be so front and center most of the time 😂
Is all of this normal? Thanks in advance for any help!

That is the luckiest betta alive. Good job.
She is in shock thinking what is this. This is not my usual studio apartment for 1.
Why not have a few more in there? A little female betta colony
Looks a bit like glass-surfing. My boy did that for a while as he settled in.
