Hey all, I recently lost my male king betta and I'm wondering what fish I should get for the new setup. The tank is 10gal and I'm already looking to get another betta (wild or hybrid) and there's currently some shrimp, pond snails, and a single nerite snail. Would a combination of otocinclus, ember tetra, and/or chilli rasbora be fine?

It’s a nice setup, but how big is the tank?
A 10g is generally too small for schooling fish. You could do either a betta, OR possibly 10 chillies.
smaller tank with not much swimming space. I’d probably stick with shrimp, snails and add some African Dwarf Frogs.
I say chilis, but I would strongly suggest adding floaters, maybe tannins if you don’t mind the look. IME they’re very shy fish in bright, open spaces, but having mine for a good while, they’re happy as can be to swim openly in my lightly tannin-stained 29.
A betta fish would look stunning in here!
Pick for some colors and send it, I bet you could make it POP!
If you get schooling fish do only 1 school! Chillies and shrimp would be good!
