Yesterday my Betta was fine. Today I was watching him from far and noticed he was not moving a lot, just laying at the bottom. After that he swam to the top and then left himself drift to the bottom. He did that twice. I approached him and noticed he had this injury on his back. His only tank mates are neocaridinas. I don't have tests with me, so I don't know the water parameters. What could this be? Physical injury? The filter is just a sponge filter. Please help

Oh boy. The eyes, his back, and he gills all seem to have major problems. Something serious is going on here.
Something more dangerous is happening here, I’m not sure what, but he looks ROUGH.
I was on my lunch break, had to get back to work. Did a 10% water change. For now it’s all I can do, will get back home in a couple of hours, hopefully someone has an answer so I can help him.
Will try and buy some test strips to check the water.
