That’s about as good as that feels gonna get for winding it on yourself, only way to get it better would be to use a spooling machine, that generation and design of pflueger reels like that echelon, the arbor, the president etc etc have crappy line lay, still kinda do since their oscillation is on the faster side, these are the situations where you really gotta make sure you leave 1/16 inch between the line and lip of the spool, versus Shimanos and Daiwas where you can usually spool them to the lip of you know how to control your line
