Decided my 68ltr should be a shrimp tank. Got a little stowaway, my bigger tank gas bigger fishbthatvwiykd gobble him up in seconds, so hes staying in the shrimp tank but dies he need 6-8 mates? I can't get to my aquarium until next Sunday now, so hes definitely alone for a week

    They are schooling/ social fish.  Buy more or return to pet shop. Would you want to live alone without any contact from other humans?

  2. Looks like a chilli to me. Most raspbora are schooling fish and the smaller are definitely more comfortable in groups.

    They are small and stay small so it’s not a significant burden on your tank to add another 5 or 6 to keep him company, they maintain safety by having lots of eyes watching all directions.

    Edit: after some googalising- it might be a strawberry raspbora, with the small circular dot rather than the line of the chilli. Take these photos back to the shop and they should be able to match it up…

  3. I think it’s a microrasbora, and it should stay that size.

    He should be fine with the harmless shrimp and no predators to stress him, but it would be nice give him some friends. They should not be a serious threat to the shrimp.
