I tryed to rescue this guy from pet smart the other day but he hangs in the upper corners and will occasionally roll on his side and then swim ok, but hangs out near the wall he eats fine and all water parameters are good temp is good any suggestions?

Give him some frozen shrimp/worms and he’ll take a good shit and be good in a week. No more pellets!
Maybe turn the flow down a little or get one of those floating logs. Otherwise you’re doing an amazing job nd I think you’ll both be fine!! I’ll keep him in my prayers 🙏
Would like to add that even if he has permanent swim bladder issues he may be able to still be happy, even if he isn’t “normal”.
That being said he probably will get at least somewhat better with time as long as the water conditions stay good.
He has a swim bladder disorder, I have successfully rehabbed bettas with one. Sometimes it is permanent.
The best success I’ve had is with a live planted tank and perfect parameters. Just make sure the water is getting changed frequently and that there’s rest areas for him. Time will tell
