hi guys! I got my betta fish 5 days ago and he has only eaten a normal amount the first day. Since then he has barely eaten one pallet, some days not eating anything. He just sits next to the food like in the picture. He has a heater, the water is clean, i don’t know what the problem could be. I’m going to buy him new food tomorrow but in the meantime i would really appreciate some help. Thank you

Hello!
Some fish like flakes while others like pellets and vice-versa. You can try getting flakes and see if he likes those.
And sidenote, what is the size of your tank?
Well he is in an uncycled bowl, assuming he is also missing a filter which is crucial to their health and overall quality of life. Please research nitrogen cycle and read up on an adequate tank setup if you want your betta to live a long life.
This aquarium is far too small and completely unsuitable. Round bowls like this are even completely banned in some countries.Your fish needs a minimum 5-gallon aquarium, a heater, a filter, and real plants.Furthermore, betta eat very little; it is best to feed them every two days an amount of pellets equivalent to the size of their eye.
It looks like you keep him in a bowl, he needs atleast 5 gallons, filter, water treated, heater and natural platns instead of plastic ones, because it might hurt him
